EPABX & Intercom

In a busy office, people walk across floors or call each other’s mobiles just to ask a question. An EPABX or intercom connects the extensions inside your premises with a short dial, and routes incoming calls to the right desk.

Frequently asked questions

What is an EPABX?

An electronic private automatic branch exchange: a system that connects the telephones inside your premises to each other and to outside lines.

How is it different from an intercom?

An intercom connects internal points such as rooms. An EPABX handles internal calls and outside lines together. We can suggest what fits your office.

Can I add extensions later?

Most systems can expand up to a limit. We plan capacity above your current count.

Does it need the internet?

Traditional systems use telephone wiring. Internet-based options work differently. Tell us which you prefer.

Can calls go to a receptionist first?

Systems commonly route incoming calls to a chosen extension. We explain the options for the model we suggest.
